Find, Install and Use Filezilla FTP Client To Transfer Files
When you have your own domain, you will often need to transfer files between your computer and the Internet location (your domain). Since neither your PC or your MAC can do this natively, you have to use an external FTP client. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is the means by which you send and receive those files. It’s like Windows Explorer for the web.
As a rule, I recommend Filezillafor those on a budget (it’s free and easy to use).
This video will demonstrate how to find it, download it, install it and use Filezilla.
Personally, I use both FileZilla and FTP Voyager. FTP Voyager has special features for those that need to schedule an automated upload/download and can afford it (it’s about $40). The built in scheduler will monitor directories and upload / download files automatically for you.
For most people however, Filezilla will do everything you need it to.
