A reader asked some questions in the comment section of a video I did about installing and setting up Elegant Themes MyCuisine Theme.
Since his questions were a good (thanks Robbie!) I decided to make a new video to answer them.
Robbie’s Questions Were:
- How do you hide the Chef’s Recommendation section completely so there’s no links and no title?
- They added a new featured which is called (Click Here To Browse The Menu), both of which are great but at this moment in time, I wish to hide both until later, is this possible?
- If it isn’t possible to hide them unless you permanently delete them, can you tell me how to do this?
This video offers three possible solutions to the Chef’s Recommendation section question, including a brief look at Elegant Themes page builder plugin called Elegant Builder. There is also a brief answer on the other two questions with a live demonstration of the techniques to customize this theme.
I use FireBug to see the visual elements so we know where to make the changes. And although I use DreamWeaver to edit my files, I also show you how to use WordPress to edit the files as well.
I also discuss some basic HTML, commenting out code in the theme and techniques to test your changes. Enjoy! And let me know in the comments below if I can help with Elegant Themes.
