WordPress claims a *5 minute install* in their literature and videos. Bull-crap.
Oh, I know, the installation part really is that fast, but there is so much more to a self-hosted blog than just the WordPress software install. You have to buy a domain, get hosting, create a MySQL database, download WordPress, extract it, upload it to your domain, install the software, then update settings and add a theme.
When I explain to those I am mentoring on *branding* themselves that they need a blog to help, most get a glazed look in their eye. Some just give up.
I set out to break it down into manageable chunks, in a step by step video (actually, it’s an 8 part video) that would help anyone, regardless of experience, create their very own self-hosted WordPress blog.
Because this video series has 8 parts, I created a *theater* for it on a different page. The theater is just too large to fit within the blog post. So, click the image above, or the link below to see the *Install WordPress * video.

I need some help installing wordpress using installatron.
Not sure if i should intsall the http:// or http://www URL?
Not sure if i can delete the path before installation so that way i don’t have a wordpress on the end of the URL
Appreciate your help
