Wordpress claims a *5 minute install* in their literature and videos. Bull-crap.
Oh, I know, the installation part really is that fast, but there is so much more to a self-hosted blog than just the Wordpress software install. You have to buy a domain, get hosting, create a MySQL database, download Wordpress, extract it, upload it to your domain, install the software, then update settings and add a theme.
When I explain to those I am mentoring on *branding* themselves that they need a blog to help, most get a glazed look in their eye. Some just give up.
I set out to break it down into manageable chunks, in a step by step video (actually, it's an 8 part video) that would help anyone, regardless of experience, create their very own self-hosted Wordpress blog.
